Quick Rainbow Ginger Stir Fry

Sometimes you just need a simple dinner that doesnt take too much time or effort. The stir fry is the ultimate fast and easy dinner since you can make the sauce in the same pan as the bulk of the meal, with some rice simmering away in the next pot. This particular recipe is a rainbow of vergetables with a simple and quick sauce that all comes together quicker than the white rice accompanying it.

DIY Coconut Butter

As I was strolling through the grocery store, I was taken aback at how expensice coconut butter was. Not even organic types were over $12 for less than 400ml. Since I started using it, I always made it myself because it's both incredibly easy and inexpensive to make, plus it only take about 20 minutes from start to finish. 

Root Vegetable Casserole

How time flies! I haven't posted in awhile, mostly due to the increased efforts I've been putting towards the launch of a personal chef service here in Vancouver. I'm getting SO close to being totally ready and I'm excited (and scared) beyond anything to be doing this. How To Make BBQ Sauce

Whenever I get the "craving" for BBQ sauce and I'm at the grocery store looking for one, I find that I leave empty handed because they always have *some* kind of ingredient that doesnt work for me. Not to mention a ton of salt. So now, I just make my own. This makes it easier in several ways: it's cheaper to make it than buy it (especially organic and processed stuff free), it takes all of 5 minutes to whip up and then 10-15 minutes simmering. 

Spinach Artichoke Dip

One of my all time favorite appetizers before vegan, was spinach artichoke dip. I still kept it as a fave after wards, making it at home since I have never seen it in a restaurant. But I used to make it with processed vegan cheeses as the mase. It was very simple to make and delicious, but lacked the healthy aspect that I like to apply to pretty much everythin I eat now.
