With starting up a Secret Dinner Club here in Vacouver (well New Westminster, but its basically the same), I keep thinking of what kind of recipes have the most broad appeal to both vegans and others alike. Personally, I prefer whole food based recipes that really make the fresh produce and ingredients shine. This phish burger is an example of that, where chickpeas and nori come together to create something new yet very familiar.

As we enter our next week of moving, I am ridiculously thankful that we signed a 24 month lease on our hew house. Don't ge me wrong, I love change and travel and all those lovely things but the moving aspect I am a little over. I am really excited to really discover Vancouver and all it has to offer over what I consider to be a long term stay. Sometimes, cimplicity wins over anything else. I'm currently completely rebuilding my pantry and I've had moments of really appreciating simplicity. When you start from scratch,it's easier to really see what you need versus what you want. Plus, my body is happy about all the extra veggies and greens I'm eating as a result! Especially after doing Vegan MoFo, a simple salad recipe is just what I wanted.

I'm actually pretty impressed with the smoothness of Vegan MoFo 2014 for me so far. I've been having quite a hectic week what with work, packing, last minute appointements AND getting a cold on top of it. To be honest, I cant wait for the move to be done and I am not looking forward to a week without my usual computer setup and all. I'll probably have to pre-upload most of my blog posts the night before As I wont have access to 2 computers during work hours anymore.
Summer and BBQ sauce are things that go hand in hand for me. I always liked things drowning in sauce, and with BBQ sauce and pulled Jackfruit, it's supposed to be that way.
