What to serve or bring to parties and potlucks, ezpecially those with mixed diets involved, seem to be one of the biggest recent food dilemnas people are having. Personally, parties are one of my favorite times to serve vegan food to some who may not be familiar with it. It's a great opportunity to demonstrate how amazing and tasty vegan and gluten free foods can be!

Caramel Rice Crispie Squares

Desserts aren't really something I make too often. Mostly because my sweet tooth is satisfied by fruit or banana ice cream. But sometimes there are thing I get curious about making vegan versions of, I like showing the versatility of veganism and the whole whatever you cna eat, I can eat vegan things. SO I made these amazing Caramel Rice Crispie Squares that everyone loved. I am very grateful that I have men in the house that will eat them. Cause I had two pieces and then I gave the rest away to them.

Sloppy Joe Bowl

Being gluten free can sometimes be achallenge, especially when you're looking for bread that has the right taste, texture and holds up to being used in various ways. Although I've found that looking for local bakeries that make vegan and gluten free bread is the best route to go, sometimes it's just easier to go without and create dishes we love without the bun. Not to mention easier on the waller since it's still a specialty product and my usual loaf is about 7 dollars.

Fat-Free Onion Rings

Appetizers and snacks are always a favorite around here. I used to be that person that would just order a bunch of appies at a restaurant instead of a main meal. These onion rings are didiculous, both in the easy and tasty categories. Fat-Free and crunchy, theyre also gluten-free! With simple ingredients that are easy enough to find. The chickpea flour might be labelled as Channa Flour or Garbanzo flour and is pretty widely available in grocery stores. But you can always find it at an Indian Grocery as well.

Butternut Mac and Cheese

It's always funny to em to hear people talk about how complicated being vegan must be, when really it's so simple and affordable. This Butternut Squash based Mac and Cheese can be made any time of year and is less than $8.00 for a full emal that can feed 3-4 adults. It's also gluten free, soy free and nut free, so pretty much everyone can enjoy regardless of food allergies.
